cerralvo78- There is a group that flys indoor models the first Monday of each month at the Faith Lutheran Church located at the northwest corner of Bellaire and Avenue B. That is just one block east of I-610 off the Bellaire exit. They fly from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A donation is made to the church of $10 by each flier for the three hour session. It is a very nice recreation facility they use.

The facility is a full size basketball court with space around the perimeter. Plenty of room to fly the micro P-51. The group that flys there is very nice. On a given evening there may be 6 or 7 pilots and they do a good job of sharing the air time.

It has been several years since I last had the opportunity to fly with the group. I do stay in touch with them and know they are still active. That flying session is one of the things I miss the most about living in the greater Houston area.

Houston indoor site

The video in this thread was taken at the Houston indoor site.

If you ignore the model and watch the backround the video should give you a good idea of what the facility is like. This is an old video but the gym is still the same. It's a great place to fly.
