Can you get Simprop products? Depending what you want to use the Bücker for: Acrodrive 350+BB (Sagami 280BB motor with 5:1 BB gearbox) on 6/270NiCd to 6/700 NiMh for realistic flying or 7-8 cells for glider pulling and prop hanging! Jürgen

So is the stock motor suited for the trash? Is the stock setup direct drive?

Thanks for the info!

The stock setup is a generic 280, geared (forget the ratio) and a 10X7 APC slowflier prop. I flew mine on that many flights, in the street, after work. I use 350mah nicads (8 cells) in it, so it's a bit heavy, but was good for putting around. I wanted more power, of course, so I have a SP300 and 5 to 1 gearbox to go in it, with an assortment of props to try,..but decided to just change the prop, draw more current, and wait for the 280 to go away. It's been flying with an 11X7 slowfly prop now for many flights. The motor is COOKING after a flight, but I haven't been successfull in destroying it yet

I have the acrodrive 350BB setup in my Simprop Sukhoi and it cooks - some people ask what brushless I have in it... I am sure it would work very well in the BM as well. I get a thrust to weight ratio close to one, so it climbs very well.

My setup Multiplex Permax 280 BB, 5:1 BB MP Jet gearbox, 9x6 apc (or even better 3-bladed black MP Jet prop), 8-9x500 red AR's, 18 Amp Jeti controller.
