well i finally overcame my fear of checking out someone else's efforts.... and wow that's impressive....fun to see another fellow going through the same pains of giving birth....that's a much more organized and careful build than mine....although i'm starting to get a bit better now...took me 69 years to get to that "bit better".....congrats!...looks wonderful.....one thing i still can't figure out, and had to play it by ear....is....you placed the side view plans against the hull, and marked the gun ports.....i tried to hold the plans against the side of the ship straight up, parallel to the vertical plane and projected the port holes onto the hull....which was very difficult.....either way the gun ports will be in a different location...mine would be higher and yours lower...... i still have no idea which is the right way........

thx

Indeed, there is a very small deviation with this method.
especially at the bow and stern. in those places I cut the ship plan into pieces to do it right.

Next time I sign each port individually, and I use this method anymore.

This is my first ship, it was a little searching for me how to do it because it was also the first time I saw ship plans and I didn't understand them fully.

Just back from a weekend holliday in the "Ardenne" Belgium. (1942 WO II)

Quote:

the "LWL" is about 120 cm

weight = 19 kilo lead for the bulb and 9 kilo for the boat

for a good sailer max.1/3 of the total weight must go in to the boat, all the rest must go in to the bulb.
