St. Louis 2 day contest

Glauco just posted this in another thread but I thought it needed it's own space.

Yes, it is a team qualifier and thanks to Ryan it is listed on F3K.US
All the info you can think about is here http://www.mvsaclub.com/mvsa/Gateway_2-Day_HL.html

Let me know if you have questions and hope to see you there.

Thanks,

Glauco
You can count me in for sure guys! For those of you that have not flown with the MVSA group I suggest you check them out. They have a beautiful sod farm to fly from and a lot of local talent trying to keep the trophies close to home.

Oh man, you're coming again??? You already qualified for team selects. How about sitting on your hands and letting someone else have a chance?

And you probably won't be jet-lagged from 20 hours of international travel this time either. Guess we're going to need more than the 22 rounds to catch you this year!

Just kidding Bruce, we'll be thrilled to have you back at the sod farm again.

Here's a collection of "Flying Reports" from various club members about last year's event.

Look forward to seeing you all in May!

It would be helpful to post the field location, not just a name. It is probably too far for me anyway, but a contest announcement really needs to contain full information.

Oleg,

The MVSA club field where the contest will be held is 865 mi. from your house. Here are some quick directions in hopes that you'll come:

Take Beech Gap Ct to Lineberry, make a left then turn right at Trailwood Hills. Left on Thistledown and follow the signs to I-40W. Keep going that way for a little while!

Info about the 2010 contest can be found here.

Location of the field can be found here.

Regards,
Chris

Chris, I use a slightly different way to get to the highway from my house, but thanks for the help :-)

The link with the field location is what I was hoping to see in the contest announcement AND on the contest information page. I must be really bad with web-site navigation, because I still do not see it on your contest page.

Oleg, I'm not sure how detailed information a person would need on the loction of the contest for making the preliminary investigation, but the website says: Location: Emerald View Turf Farm, O’Fallon, Mo.

Where exactly they will be flying changes a little bit. They fly from sod farms and throughout the year the exact field they fly from may change a little. So a satalite view of where exactly, like exactly within 25 feet, they will be flying is probably not possible this early. I have flown with these guys 3 times and each time the field and parking location was slightly different but the same general "farm".

But mapquesting to O'Fallon, Missouri should be plenty informative for folks deciding on if the trip is feasable or not.

Thanks Bruce.

You can see the available frequencies here

We have a few more confirmed entries but since I don't know their channels they are not listed yet.

See you all in May.
