Nope, not heading to Mexico. We have a retirement house if the Philippines. One day (year actually) we'll make that more permanent move. Ohh...I can fly year round...in WARMTH!!!! That's several years down the road though...so more boring desert video with no trees, grass, etc in view for a while.
Just a thought . .a great test for the DT would be to tie an OSD and TX to your pets and take them for a walk . . .a LONG walk. . like across borders

I'll sit back in the wings and watch the progress. This is GREAT stuff!!!

Mike...did you test the Mongoose IMU and translator board yet? With all that free time I thought you'd have a progress report of me...er...us by now!
mongoose still hasn't arrived

Hi All,

I need some clarification on using the "GAIN Channel" to adjust the level of IMU stabilisation during normal flight.

Does it work be enabling\disabling IMU stabilisation up to the level specified in the "Auto-stabilize gain" level? Or does it work independent of the level?

Cheers,
SPG.

Hey guys, just a question:
I noticed the stock Locosys GPS unit gets rather warm... too warm for what I gather is only a receiver.
Is this normal?
Mine is getting very random locks sometimes works well and sometimes locks and later loses all sats...and sometimes never locks....

Im confused...

Yeah...and it'll just get stolen out of the postal system. I'm not sure how I'll handle my hobby orders...probably will have to make lots of trips to Hong Kong and Singapore...but hey, I'll be retired so time's not an issue...plus I'll probably get my stuff faster!

If I understand it right, the transmitter gain adustment adjusts up to what you have set in the DOSD menu....so you can decrease the gain, but not increase it to a greater value that what you have set in the menu.

That's right. And the channel can control GPS and IMU stability simultaneously.

if you don't assign a control channel for stability then you just get the amount you set in the menu

some flyers use the tilt channel indicator on the stability control channel to give a visual indication of how much stabilisation is being used
