3.5mm or 4.0mm. bullet male to xt60 female?

Ok guys. I refuse to pay a dollar each for xt60 pairs. I will instead purchase bullet connector pairs but Id like to know which is a better fit, 3.5mm or 4mm.

I measured the xt60 female outer diameter and it tells me 4.0mm

Specs say its 3.5 though.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks.

Sorry to hear that because XT60s are a very handy connector.

The bullets in them are just a hair under 3.5mm. A male 3.5mm bullets will fit snugly into the holes on the XT60s but the post on the XT60 fits a little loosely in the female 3.5mm bullets.

Just an FYI: measure bullet connectors on the female connector's inside diameter.

There are guys on fleabay who are selling XT60 connectors under $1.00 per pair in bulk packs, just search XT60 connectors. Watch for the shipping origin, some are simply sending you to HK/HC websites.

The best I could do a while back was 20 pairs for $30 shipped.

yeah the xt60s I ran into researching are all running a buck something a pair.

I can always spread the post a bit to make a tighter fit.

I thinking of using some silicone tubing to slide over exposed bullets when not using. Then when its time to charge or plug up, pay attention and connect same colors, it shouldnt be that hard for myself. I can match red to red, black to black.

THANKS FOR YOUR TIME GUYS.

I use plastic "thread protectors" from ACE Hardware to cover exposed male bullets.
