Yes this is true for the Wemotec fan, but its not just for a fan unit It is a good pusher since myself and the flying wing guys use them and the quality is pretty good. We "always" prop down when going HIGH in rpm in a hot wind motor. 4.75 x 4.75 would be the sweet spot

Its not that cheap, been using them for a few years and i have never smoked one yet. A lil cheaper alternative than a NEU motor, but better quality than an ARC motor.

4.75x4.75" might be OK for the motor to survive, but for a "draggy" model like the FunJet, anything below 5" is really not very efficient.

yes that is true, thats why for my wings we use 6 x 4 or a 6 x 5.5 for a lil more thrust, since the glassed wings need the thrust to push them effeciently.

yeah that 3600 will be enough, but you have to look at the other ingredients for a power setup.

You have to know your motor, what KV it is, how much power the motor can handle, prop size, esc and what amp esc size.

If your running a 3cell as you have a 3600, i can recomend a 115mph setup. The 3600 might be too heavy.

for 115mph Heres my setup:

3cell 1800mah 30C prolly can do a 3000mah pack
HET 2w-20 3300kv
4.75 x 4.75 prop
CC thunderbird 54 esc
AR6200 rx

Multiplex Funjet (2 min 46 sec)

Motor for FJ Ultra

I'm going to buy the FJ Ultra.
What setup from HC is recommended that will be similiar to MPX power set (~700W ~200Kmh) with 3S?
For best installation and preformance - Inrunner or Outrunner?
What size will fit best?

few options:
