Instructions say CA, I think most use CA although some use epoxy. CA and kicker 'melts' the parts together, don't think epoxy does that.

I've used the MPX Elapor glue, and some medium CA I got from work. Not sure if the CA from work is classed as foam safe (I'm betting it isn't or the boss would charge more....).

I use Gorilla Glue for all my foam planes and it works great.

Is it ok that i used epoxy on everything so far though? Epoxy usually is really good for foam. Is foam safe CA ok on funjet ultra foam?
The instructions call for regular CA. It will have the strongest bond with this type of foam. Epoxy will probably work but may not bond as well with this type of foam. This is one of the few foams that does not require foam safe CA. They even recommend against it.

I'd use clear Packing Tape along the areas that you epoxied...That will help Lock it together as well..I actually Tape the whole plane....Tape so that the laps are always on the downwind side...in other words ..so that wind can't peel it up at high speeds...on the wings start at the back and work your way forwards..the laps will be on the down side of the wind..

The Kicker on regular CA melts the foam..and actually welds it together

Or you can use Zagi Tape like I did for the colors..and I use Clear for the Bottom...It also keeps the plane from Scuffs and Grass stains..as well as small dings ...The two lil white spots on the wings are the servo rods...I run my Rods on top to help protect the servos from grass and other hits that occur under the wings if you run servos under the wings...

Has anyone tried using gyros on the fju? I recently fitted the newer HK 3-axis v2 stabilizer on mine and have yet to try it. I am going to use pitch and roll stabilization to keep my fju straight on high speed passes and on the initial hand toss.

If you've discovered a way to compensate for the initial torque roll on the hand toss with this HK gyro, it would rock! Please let us know.

For those few that are using the Mega 16/45/xx, what sort of AUW are you coming in at? How heavy are your battery packs?

Just wondering....

Wow, I somehow posted same thing twice...

Anyhow, I will post my gyro results hopefully with a video soon. I do notice the fju will also torque on a high speed pass as well and this makes it dangerous and unpredictable. On slow passes the fju would rock and wing stall. The change of speed also effects the amount of elevator trim needed for level flight. I am expecting all of these things will be corrected with the use of a gyro.
