Mine is ready to go but the weather looks bad for the week ahead. How in the heck are you supposed to get the decals on that wing around the tail fins? There is no way I can do it, should have done it before sticking the fins in place. Underneath looks really tricky too.

Finally got it done by making a template out of card so it looks ok now. Mine is 928grams 32.7 oz ready to fly.

Hi Guys I got my Funjet Ultra a couple of weeks ago and love it !

Compared to the standard Funjet it is much stiffer and therefore much sharper in the air.

It feels more locked in and less floaty if you see what I mean.

I got the Ultra powerset and this this is very quick - I wasn't sure about it and was thinking of going for a 4 cell lipo powerset but can honestly say that it is as quick enough.

The guys at the club were amazed and you can pull some serious G with this thing without worrying!

It lands faster as you would imagine

I'm well happy with it...

I went to Rougham and had a look at an Ultra on one of the stands. I still think white is a much better colour but the grey was Ok

No I wanted to go but also did not manage it but plan to camp out at Wings and Wheels this year and make the most of it. The weather is better today and I managed to get off work so am hoping to maiden today. Here are some pix of it and the insides, I'm using the power set and pleased to hear it is fast enough, I also thought surely 4 or 5 cells is what you need for speed and an inrunner but I guess they are going for brute force to overcome the drag and you must get a lot of thrust this way and acceleration . The guys at my field are always going on about speed even using a radar gun and although I really only fly aerobatics I though maybe this will shut them up for a while

The maiden went very well, half throttle launch, I had a little to much reflex (up elevator) but 2 clicks of down and two clicks right sorted out the trimming. She does land a bit faster than the old Funjet and is quite a bit faster then my old one (with a Kontronic in-runner, 40amp ESC) and has very good acceleration, its really weird giving full throttle for a few seconds then pulling vertical and only a few seconds later throttling back to idle because its getting pretty small and then seeing it carrying on rocketing vertically with the motor off for another 50 feet or more. Normally I'm so used to a plane stopping quickly if its going vertical when you shut the throttle but this one just keeps climbing and getting smaller and smaller Very happy with it and now have the fastest plane at my patch

Can anyone tell me more about the motor. What motor would fit nicely into the Ultra if i didnt buy the power set?

There is lots of space behind the motor plate for any motor, outrunners or inrunners, remember you will have to order the ali motor plate separately.
