My SK3 1900kv arrived yesterday. Should be flying tomorrow or the next day.
I have a 7.4X8 APC composite prop that Im going to start with on 4S and then 7X10/7X13.
Im thinking that 6X10 and 6S could be the answer.

The 6x10 folder should do well on 6 cells if the motor doesnt loose its magic smoke, you do realize there is a BIG difference between 6.5 pitch and 10 pitch props as far as power draw is concerned, but I want to see the 7x13 floder on 4 cells.

I hope you use 100% brake so you can land with the spinner oriented horizontally, have you ever landed a pusher with a folder while the prop was facing down (or 6 O'clock) ?

Finally someone else who likes big props, please try to get video of those flights, hopefully you'll be on full throttle for at least 6 seconds to allow for max speed

There's nothing wrong with big props, they just don't make them in anything but folding.

Moparmyway - good point on the brake.
Flame - hopefully I can get more than 6sec WOT. Ive got temp sensor on the motor - I'll push it untill it gets hot. Im a bit clueless about posting video but its about time I learnt.

So was I, but if you know how to save a file to your computer, it's not much harder to post on Youtube (not sure about other video sites).

The waiting is the worst part, it took about 15 minutes to load to u-tube on my worst day .................................. that felt like an eternity !!!

I dont know about that PJ, most of these props that you see are custom built and cant be purchased unless you know someone, (or some thread) or build it yourself.

Arguements sake, the 6x10 folder War Machine speaks of is a custom build CF prop from WAAAAAAAAAAAY south of the Equater that cant be purchased in a store, or researched on line as it is a creation from a certain individual who decided to make his own rather than wait for it to be done elsewhere.

By the way, that same 6x10 folder just pushed a Swist past 230 mph on 5 cells (if I remember the cell count correctly).

For FJU, my bet is that folding 7x13 for top speed no matter what motor

If you push a 7x10 APC sport with ~3Kw on a FJU it will be uncontrolable.
At least at sea level >200Mph!

I maidended my SK3 1900kv today.
Set up is:
200A red brick ESC
nano 4s2700
APC 7.4X8 composite
FJU - stock except for additional spar.
AUW : 47.5oz

Data is from hitec telemetry. I only got peak values - flight log will follow later.
Top speed was from a dive - I know I know - the gurus want level flight - sorry, it was too much fun not to dive. I flew mainly WOT.
Peak current : 108A (I assume on launch)
Top speed : 180mph (FJ was stable as a rock)
Peak temp of motor : 130F
Peak temp of ESC : 140F
