Yet again, I am not agreeing with you, but correcting you.

For a model like the Funjet, it is more important to have two precise centering servos, running at the same speed at various loads.

Mopar,

Owner of Mega Liked your idea regarding that "option" for 16/ F5D motors.
(only for F5D.....upon request).

Post whenever you have extra time (don't forget the pics).

Well ...........
I dont know if I can "claim" that it was "my idea" ........ but the general thought is to have all F5D motors come with F5D end shields, or bearing plates, or caps, or whatever anyone calls them........... well, lets allow the picture tell the story.

Nice shields/plates/caps/whatever.....

Looks to offer a lot more air through the motor....

Hopefully not too expensive as an option.

I was trying to get it standard when you order F5D. The only other options are 5mm shaft (c) and (e) rotor.

Mopar, Feefo,

Main reason it will be an option instead of standard is that the motor length will become roughly 3mm longer and not everyone will like that in limited room applications.

...and half of that (1.5-1.7mm??) will be taken away from the output shaft length. I know it is not much, but it makes more sense to have it as option vs standard.

Dealer's cost for that option is being considered. (3-7 Euro range is my wild guess)

All 16/45 get that standard.
All F5D shorter than 16/45 will get option.
No motor shorter than 16/45 and none F5D can have those shields at any cost.

Can the caps be retro fitted?

If I had to return my F5D motor for service, can I ask for the caps to be fitted then as they look like they are much more open than the normal 'holed' cap.

Now if someone could just mention to CC about doing a slimmer case for the Ice range so we don't have to butcher it to fit, things would be lookin' real good

Yes.

It will include a new case too (due to front shield)
