Those shall be fine for short flight time & with throttle management (less full throttle ) flights you can get decent flight timing. The kit recommeded are the 3S 3000-3300 range batt

You will need higher C batteries in the 2200mah range with the stock ultra powerpack and the battery will be placed almost full forward in the fuse. 3s 65c work without issue.

OK, which batts are ideal? What kind of flight times should I be looking at if I were to get the "ideal" batts?

Thanks for the link, that helps a lot. Those batts seem pretty salty. At least now I know how many mAh to go for. Looks like a great little plane. I can't wait to get my hands on one. I"m surprised I haven't seen more of these around to be quite honest. From reading the thread, it looks like a lot of you are using a smaller prop than what comes with the power pack though.

Oh. Well I was getting to it. The speed runs were taken both directions although it wasn't really needed with the straight on crosswind. The readings were basically the same.

It was a lot of fun. I think I killed one of my batteries. The crowd was keeping us on the throttle.

Where have you found 3S batts with 65C ratings? The highest I've been able to find are 40C in 3S.

Again, I'm just looking to go with the UltraJet Power Pack. I've read a lot of posts on this thread about people burning up batts, motors, or not having enough power, so I'm trying to make sure I get the right batteries.

It will give you the max power for any giving setup and the stock power setup is a match set so it should be just fine.....
