Badass or "normal" setup?

this funjet ultra is great, its for those who do not want to go with that hassle of galssing or reinforcinug your FJ, the foam seems to be more compressed, its a great buy, but wait until it comes to the US, or you will pay $100 just for shipping as my friend did.....here is a video of a friend who just bought this FJ ultra ona 4s, going a good 135mph,i had the honors of flying it..

somewhere in the UK, shipping was a grip though, better to wait another month in my opinion

Man this material has the best properties. It is strong and has a plastic behaviour. If a surface is bent like the end of the wing, it is easily pushed back and stays like that.

Of course the disantvantage is the +120 grams from his elder brother, so it is not suggested for mild setups.

very much true, a hard plastic feel is a great way to describe its texture
good job multiplex,,,,thins thing felt solid in the air

I would like a recommendation. For a turnigy motor and esc to go with my 4s battery and id like to go at least 125 mph. Thanks

Yes but also consider that the simple funjet needs some strenghthening in order to have a decent strength (additional carbs and glassing).

Of course there is the option to remove anucessary mass with dremel.

no turnigy motor will take you 125mph, 105mph to 110 max
to hit 125 you would need mega, medusa or neu motors

There has been a big argue about turnigy vs good quality motors at my flight field. There has been a couple of fellows that flew funjets with 4s setups and reached 130mph or 210km/h (with radar gun). They used 3400kv 70grams turnigy motors (red). But after a couple of months they were frustrated and the only one that still flies is me. Motors couldnt bare the high temps and batteries were dead after 20 cycles (they chose low capacity batteries for low weight).

I i cannot give 150 euro for a neu motor, but i understand that a 15 dollar motor will not bare the pain. The best choice stands in between.

yes, i have done this myself but after a few flights, the windings of the turnigy turns dark and does not last, so i do not recommend it,,,but if you want to experience it, sure you can get a high kv turnigy 100 to 150gram ones on a 4 s, even a 5s with a lower kv and fly 5 times before the battery puffs, teh esc blows or motor burns

I definitely DONT want to experience it and suggest people to stay away from cheap east electronics. I dont want to face frustration at my hobby. Investing at good quality stuff , is the best (long term) economic choice
