Dang Vic,
That stinks on the tire. Inside those snowblowers is far more simple than the helis you build. I had to replace my auger drive belt because it was worn and stretched. New belt and good to go. It's the pain you go through to get to the parts that isn't worth the effort.

God Bless Ya Buddy!

ya got that right Vic.......pushing the envelope constantly is an iffy thing at best. It's jaw dropping to watch for sure, but it sure tightens me up thinking about the repeated stress on that ship. Like you said Bro....if something fails, it's over in a gnats heart beat. A good friend of mine Kermit Weeks builds and flys his own design "Weeks Solution" and was a memeber of the US Internation Aerobatic Team....he made it through his career ok, but a lady pilot who was practicing at her home field, Leeward Air Ranch between Ocala and Belleview FL, had a battery come loose in an inverted flat spin.......jammed the controls and went in inverted. It can happen to anyone.

Gotta go out of town today.....I'll try to catch up with ya'll later. Have a large day fellas.

JPee, I have been religiously keeping up with the CC HV issues. It looks like they have found an issue with a change in the production of the part. All of the ICE HV controllers have been recalled. Hopefully this will be the final fix.

Jay.. had the exact same thing happen to mine. I picked up a new servo and sent the old one in. It has been months now and still have not received a new one.

First result from the battery charge test. the battery went out full, flew 4 minutes, and required 141ma to recharge.

Vic.....no Sir.....no eject at all.......maybe one of those "ballistic chutes" might have helped her....but she was in an inverted flat spin and just couldn't right the plane so a BC wouldn't have helped much..........sad.

Tim- What IS that? I don't remember it?

Jay- Is archery season opening soon?

Barry- Thought you were out for the day?

Ivan- Any more runs with the car lately?

Rick- quite the interesting link.

Tim- Looks like only 56% went back in. You could bump up flying times for sure.

Flying the MCP usually 4 batteries a day and having fun. Waiting on the nanotechs to try them out. Think they are on a boat somewhere in the pacific.

JIm.....I just got a few moments to lurk........our "hours" have changed now since Tee's radio show work started. We're up at 3:30, she airs at 6-9am and then works at the station most of the day ....makes a weird day, but all will work out in a few days

Jim, that device is attached to the wing of a plane and with a flick of a switch it drops the cap device. I built it as a modular device so that cameras or other options could hang under the other wing I set it up for a 28" minimum profile 3D plane.

In other news I ran through 5 batteries today, the recharge levels averaged 150. The higher draws came from the Hyperion batteries that have an extra 50 mah to play with, and the difference was minimal.

The bad news is that I am heli grounded for at least this week. I damaged the tail motor in what I thought was a non-incident. I am not pleased. I may try an mSR tail boom/motor.
