Jim,

Congrats on giving up the vice (snuff), that's harder to quit than heroin.

I guess, ya caught us with the OLD talk, huh. Trust me, our minds are willing, but the body isn't. LOL!

Ice Pick Willy is on vacation (in the slammer now), he should be back in town, about next October.

Did you get the Phoenix sim yet? Just curious..

Dave

Barry,

It's all tiny little, tiny little. Lol! That's a tiny, Srew. I'm lucky for an OLD guy, still don't wear glasses. Must run in the family, my dad was 91 when he passed away, and never wore glasses. (Jim, you reading this? LMAO!)

Dave- LHS is out of stock at the moment. Won't have it in till Wednesday.

Use contact cleaner and your finger to rub it clean. No lint and no residue left behind that way. Those srews are VERY small. Magnetize that srewdriver before trying!

Jpee,a bit late but ive been using that 3m brand plastic velcro for years. Out here its widely available at home centers and elsewhere. I forget where i posted about it when i started using it for rc applications but others have used it and like it to. If mounting to metal i usually wipe down the surface with rubbing alcohol and add some welders to the adhesive pad for a really strong bond but the adhesive on it holds pretty well to plastics on its own. With balsa for planes i add ca to secure it,good for when you know youll be trying different equipment like receivers etc. I also like the duck brand double sided tape.. much less expensive than the hobby grade stuff and has good shock absorption do to its thickness. The scotch stuff was $2.89 for the package you see in the pic(four 1''x3'' strips),The double sided tape was $2.98 for a 1''x60'' roll when i picked up more a few weeks ago.

Been wanting to make a nightflyer ufo for a while,no idea how its gonna fly but i'll make it fly and start learning from there.. I think its gonna be a bit different than the deltas ive been trying and they have there own learning curve as well but there both different than the typical 3d planes i cut out that i have a much better grasp of. Just a mock up and i'll probably make a cabin from foam with windows or something but the plane canopy looks ok for now but i want to save it for possible use on a bigger park jet. If i get it flying and its halfway decent in the air i'll throw on a couple sets of cheap lights and maybe order more and make a larger one but this first one is ok size for now.

Dave, I have been using alchy on a q-tip. Clean both the circuit board and the fingers that slide on it. Be careful cleaning the fingers as they bend easily.... always wipe towards the tips.

Hi Guys, I thought I would wander by. I still haven't managed to get my T-rex in the air, but I got an mCPX a while back and suddenly I figured out a stupid problem. How I hold my radio is important. I have almost 20 batteries through it now! Primarily just getting comfortable with how it feels in the air.

Here's a video from the other day. I figured out after I shot the video that with the wind coming through that day I was in an eddy. Hopefully I will get to try out the T-Rex this weekend.

Thanks for your help

Tim

Thanks, the little dog leaves whenever I fire up a heli. She's not happy with my little Extra 300 in the yard either.

Lazy azzed dog.......LMAO. I find it amazing you can hover the MCPx, and cannot get the 450 in the air. The MCPx is HARDER to get airborne than a 450, but flys decient once it's there.
