I have not actually flown the a-10 really successfully yet. I removed the wheels from it and made it a hand launch/belly lander. My maiden with it I had dialed the throws down too low and using the included servos was like turning the steering whell on a car long after you went thru the corner. The delay was so bad I flew it on its side most of the flight. After installing new servos (HS 55's) it has much better response but when i attempted the first flight I didn't get my had on the stick quick enough to keep it off the runway. It will require a second person to hand launch it for me and i suspect it will fly fine.
Vic:
Still working on the 60 size Corsair. Its all built, all servos installed and now working on sealing the fuse and wings before covering. I expect a maiden this early summer with it when i go to Eastern WA to check out the new field. A guy has got to be dedicated just to drive 3 hrs to go fly. I am hopeful it will be worth the effort and of course will have some kind of video proof to document wither my success or failures. Either way i am sure i will have to edit the vids to censor the language......... I tend to speak filthanese when i am excited or upset..................... heh.

Arrow...the A-10 seems like a learning curve thing like the P-3 F-16, I've trashed 3 of them, but I'll have another...they're great and I finally learned it....I fly it like I stole it. Anything that can track 102mph out of the box as stock....it ROCKS.

"Filthanese"....LMAO ROTF. Never really knew they had a name for it. That's funny stuff there, I dont care who ya are. I'm a sailor...quite fluient in that particular language.

I hope the Cordair maiden is uneventful. Just take it easy and remember that design at slow speeds loves to tipstall.....gotta come in with some speed.

Hey Arrow,
Glad to see ya poppin in. As usual, you've always seem to have your fingers busy building something. Not much going on with me, I retired last November and kinda taking it easy for awhile. The weather here in Indianapolis pretty much suxs this time of year. I've only had the helis out 4 times this year. I'm sporting a Trex 600 and a HK 450 Pro TT right now.I'll get some part time work, this coming Sept. or Oct. I'm just going to enjoy this summer.

"Filthanese", join the crowd.

Tell Jacki I said "HI",

Dave

9sec420,
That is a great vid of the potential the SR has. You've got it dialed in

Arrow,
Great to see you on! I have the Reaper GR-60 with a APC-E 14x7 in a 3DHS Extra330SC. It is a power house. 4 flights so far on 4s 4000mah. It's 5#+ and goes vertical just over half stick.

On that E-Flight T-6, keep your speed up and fly the tail Take-off is a piece of cake because throttle on the tail stays straight. Landing is different... she'll ground loop quickly. Nothing I could do would keep that tail straight on landing. I have mine with retracts and flaps. I flew it with 2x 3s 2200 mah batts. It's a beaut in the air

I'd love an A-10. Darnit now you guys have me thinking again. Can you smell the smoke

Blessings,

Jay

Dunno...I don't think an A-10 is that interesting. They carry a multitude of weapons BUT are designed to operate at low altitude and slow speeds.....BORING....we can do that with a trainer....just me shooting off my face again.....

I think they just look to cool flying through the air. It's the most beautiful ugly plane ever built Plus Battle Creek ANG has had them for years. Back when I was 16 my Dad and I were flying RC planes at a full scale runway the weekend before the Kalamazoo Airshow. Luckily neither one of us was flying at the time as these two A-10's dove down and made multiple passes down this runway. It was the coolest thing in the world. When my Dad and I went to the show we walked up the the 2 pilots and asked them about it. They said they were in a holding pattern over Galesburg and decided it would be fun to make a couple of low passes down the runway. We asked if they saw us and both said no. They were low enough that if we were flying it could have been a problem. It was a neat experience though

LMAO...my two kids grew up on Naval Airstations...there isn't much they haven't seen. I think my son con'ed a ride in a biplane during one airshow. I was in Base Police at the time and on duty so I didn't hear about it till years later. My response would have been a tad less that joyful since I told BOTH my kids NOT to go up in the helicopter, biplane, or the cessena 182. I had my reasons......

Kyle,

I've been eyeballing those paddles for awhile, and read a lot of reviews on them. Let us know how they work out for ya. YEP, weather sucks big time here in Indy too, misting rain, damp cold, windy. Nothing new though around here. Lol!

GENERAL QUARTERS ::::::::
I am MOBILIZING each one of you : TO FIND, FOR ME, the "complete" programming guide to set up my DX-7 to operate the BLADE SR

I am already looking in a THREAD specialized in this, but the search is long. I don't have that much LIFE left to find it on my own.
