Rick,

Great pic too. I see you have the training wheels in the back of the truck. I don't believe you need them ANY longer. Time to relax for a bit, maybe play the piano for awhile and have a glass or two, of Shangria.. Bottoms up.

Luego,
Dave

Great first flight with your Raptor I think me and you are the same flying level with the helis. Raptor looks to fly very well.

Expo would smooth that out nicely for you. I myself did not use (or like expo) when I first started flying helis but as I advanced more and the helis got more agile, it became necessary. I run quite a bit of expo on just about all my helis now. Somewhere around 15 to 25% on most.
I was the same never used expo until I setup my 50. I also think it helps with too much over-correcting the sticks.

KYLE : I usually don't "quote" from a post but this time I did because I've actually been realizing *from your own shows* that YES, we are quite close in flying ability/capability ( you and I )....I appreciate your comments also.
VIC has always advised me to use the small electrics to PRACTICE and actually that was the very best way to DO it. It may sound *somewhat pitiful* to admit but I believe it is the BLADE SR120 that helped me the most towards the end to MOVE OUT into FF and FFF....the regular SR has too many issues and did not follow through too well on the promises that Mark Padilla made promoting the SR
Thanks for commentary.

ADDRESSED TO JPEE and/or CHOPPERSRULE::

sometime ago both of you were discussing/praising one item THE GREASER.
Without too much experience with helis I can already tell the RAPTOR, which
had not been started up for almost one whole year, would benefit greatly from
a general LUBE JOB most especially the BEARINGS !
Please direct me, or guide me to the SOURCE for THE GREASER, also tell me what
price and any other info that may be pertinent.
Thank you, RICK

p.s. NOW THAT I KNOW HOW GOOD THE RAPTOR GOES I am having the SECOND RAPTOR
assembled, should be ready in a week . !

Rick,

Vic has given you the page for ordering the greaser. Below is the Home page for Petes Hobbies, also his page for FAQ's. It's highly recommended to grease the bearing in a 600 size, and bigger helis. I grease the bearings in my 500 size also.

Another windy day here on the farm. Temps in the mid 70's, boxelder bugs to beat the band. Nearing end of the 1/4 scale fuselage build, about a couple more days and I'll be ready to fit the rudder and stabs.

I was told by the owner of the Nexstar .46 to "trash it". Looks like I got me a high wing trainer once I order the parts I need for it. The damaged structures are already repaired, Sweet eh? I'm using the OS .46FX on my uproar right now and it's broke in since I got my hands on it....LMAO.

Got half a dozen packs in after work today in the HK450B. Kasia got a couple quick video clips. I had to keep landing due to mosquitoes.

HK450B low flips (1 min 5 sec)

HK450B inverted (1 min 24 sec)

Great !

THANKS for posting these two snippets. That made a GOLDEN closure for this day.
Of course this is somewhat what I would like to gather up courage TO DO !
Today I maidened my INNOVATOR EXP. Following the RAPTOR experience from yesterday now I have done the two most important helis in my hangar and I know I can handle them. Other than pirouette I don't DO much of anything but I need to consider that today is truly the FIRST day in which I execut a "flight" in the real sense. I better not rush myself ADMIRABLE and noticed are the SMOOOOTH TAKE OFFS and feather light touchdowns in both clips. GOOD JOB, well done, congratulations.

A great piece of flying to be sure. If I KNOW there's gonna be mosquitos, I put repellant on, even my face cause it can get REALLY bad I know. Keep some deep woods off in your flight bag...I do.

Thanks so much Rick. Things are starting to click for me. Forward flight is getting way more relaxed, rolls are getting more axial, flips are getting tighter. A lot of flying is becoming second nature. As I spend less attention on forward flight, I can spend more attention on aerobatics!!

It will come Rick... it is all about stick time!!
