Decided to give the Tacon motors a try so I bought a Bigfoot 25 and a 32.

They arrived a couple of days ago and seem to be decent motors. I test ran them both (holding them in my fingers without props) for the first time this morning to be sure there were no major issues. They both ran smoothly and transitioned up and down the throttle range nicely.
What I did notice and initially made me shake my head in disgust was the tapped holes for mounting the bolt on prop adaptor for the Bigfoot 32. The 4 tapped holes don't lie on a circle that is concentric with the 'nose' or center of the barrel housing See the attached photos.
I decided to see if I could install the prop adaptor and if so observe how bad would it wobble when running. Fortunately the c'bored screw holes in the adaptor are large enough that I was able to get all 4 socket head cap screws installed without issue. When I powered it up it ran true! The fit between the nose and the pocket on the backside of the adaptor is tight enough that it centered OK. Whew! I was planning on having to contact HobbyPartz and go thru the hassle of returning it for another motor or a refund....

Has anybody else with the Tacon Bigfoot motors also have non-concentric tapped holes for mounting the prop adaptor?

At this time I have no prop testing and related performance numbers to share for either of these motors.

My bigfoot definitely did not have that issue. Good thing to check though especially for mountings where centering is critical.

I have a Tacon 15 up and running nicely in a E-flite Champ 15 and I also have a Tacon 110 destined for a Seagull Percival Mew Gull later this fall.

The Tacon and exceed should work. Yes, the Gens Ace appears to be expired.

There is NO COUPONS...........when I click on your link, it takes me to a page that only has links that take you to the home page of HP.

Where is the coupon code? Can you do a screen shot of what we are to see?

Attached is a screenshot of what we see when we click on your link. When you click on the links, there is no coupons, just takes you to HP page.

Delighted with the Monster bigfoot 32. Put it in my Rhapsody 25 and it pulls the 5lb plane along perfectly... no mounting issues with the motor, did need thicker stand-offs so that the prop cleared the cowl, but that was easy.

I believe the words Prior to the parentheses are the code. Write that down and click the link that will take you directly to the page. I don't think that is rocket science.

Oh crap, now I get it...............doh! Not very clear cut though, but simple enough. Somewhat deceiving about "click to use" so that is why it made it hard to understand at first.

Type in "Tacon10" at the checkout coupon box to get 10% off all Tacon motors.
Type in "Exceed10" to get 10% off Exceed
Type in "FPV5" for 5% off FPV camera's

etc., etc........

Now that an example is given, should solve any questions.

I just did it and it works.

Use all CAP letters, no spaces, etc. when you type it in the coupon box.

TACON10
EXCEED10

ETC, ETC....

When you type in the coupon and hit apply , a message should appear at the top of the refreshed web page telling you if the coupon worked or not.

Well I finally got the coupon to work, but this is what I got.
"Coupon code exceed10 only applies to certain store items. None of these items are in your shopping basket."
I was ordering ESC's and UBEC's, guess they DON'T count..

I just went back and checked the EXceed10 coupon, IT should include the ESC's.Here it is
