Mike, On the 18x12 Menz prop I drew 2100watts, 57.88amps, at 36.16v, and 6781rpm. The 16x10 MA Scimitar was pulling ~1500watts.

My big Giles is about 15lbs by my bathroom scale(questionable accuracy) so the 18x12 will fly it but I think I need to go 11-12s to really get the speed and verticle performance I'm looking for.

I've attached my ET graphs for both test runs, didn't have the RPM sensor on for the 16x10 test oopps.

Jason

Added chart of a run on 10s2p. Amps and watts are halved by my parallel setup, so 2411.2watts and 62.58amps. Starting to think I might just be happy with this setup.

Thought I would add, I weighed it piece by piece on a 5lb digital scale and AUW looks to be ~13.4lbs -battery ~10.42lbs

2411.2 watts looks about what i would want for the ultimate. around 200 watts/pound for a 12 pound plane. when i get mine going, think i may even try a 19" prop also. will be running it on 2-gforce 5 cell 5000mah 30c in series

with a hobbywing pentium 80a high voltage bec

I have the HW platinum 70HV, might upgrade to a Plat. 120HV. The no spark lead on the Platinums is a nice feature. Thinking a 19x12 will be my sweet spot also.

I finally got a chance to fly the 160 yesterday. I flew on the Menz 18x12 and it was excellent. Verticle was unlimited, speed was quite acceptable although I think a touch more voltage or an 18x13 prop would be welcome in my Giles.

Anyway here is a short video of the second flight.

Melnic, I got my kit from AK models also sold at nitro planes. It was not intended for electric power but it was very easy to mount everything. And yes it flies much larger than my .50 size.

Mike, I have the timing turned up some cant recall off hand how far I went, I'll check. Your Ultimate should be alot of fun, good luck with it.

I have a new HD camcorder on the way hope to get some better video this weekend if the weather cooperates.

Been flying a 6lb Phoenix Extra 300S conversion all summer on a Monster 60, 5s 3300 pulling 700W on a wood 14X10/6. Great plane at a super price $120 at TH.

I flew a SIG Seniorita with a Monster Power 15, and 3S. Driving Miss Daisy, but fun to learn on. Underpowered.

The Monster Power 25 likes at least 4S voltage. Else it doesn't get up into its "aerobic range". With 4S, it will climb a 6 foot electric glider nicely.

The Monster Power 46 with 4S would probably do very nicely on the Seniorita. It is underpowerd for a 48" aeorbatic 5lb plane like the Tango. Ballpark would be:
12x8 prop, 38A continuous, 91oz thrust, 62 mph, 403 watts to the prop, 3 minutes 23 second run time for a 2200mAh battery.

Remember: the Seniorita has full size servos, and they pull the limit that a speed controller can dump to them. You would be wise to get an OPTO speed controller and separate SBEC, and a 1500mAh battery to run the servos and RX that is separate from the motor batteries.
