Very cool! This looks like the scale equivalent of a Husky cub, it should be a real chalenge to learn to fly it as well as the pilot in the video! Oh well, I've still got some time left to learn! I really am pumped!

Hello,

some of you asked me for pictures.
Here are some pics of my modified EasyCub “prototype” and the final FunCub-version, Multiplex makes out of it.

Cheers,
Martin

hi martin seems you are well into funcub business. I intend to convert an easycub instead of buying a funcub. I thing it will be lighter. Am i right? Please let me know the motor prop compination you used and the solution you gave for flattening the wing.

Best regards
george

Not yet. As a MPX sponsored pilot, Martin got his FunCub a bit earlier.

Hello,

the FunCub motor set is powerful but also very heavy. I prefer the original EasyCub setup.
The kit will be available soon. (This is all I know)

and: no, I won’t sell mine

George: Yes, our cat’s loves Elapor to! (Thanks god, they don’t eat Depron

Cheers,
Martin

Martin,

Looking at the pictures, it appears you added quite a bit of motor down thrust on the EasyCub. How much downthrust was added and are you using the same COG as in the manual?

That photo makes you look like a pussy
J/K its getting late here..

As you've built your easycub with much larger flaps and have flown both,
which do you prefer? Hopefully the Funcub ones are effective enough.

how did you manage to eliminate the angle of the wing on the easycub? Did you modify the plastic wing joiners?

Best regards

george

The FunCub flaps works almost similar then my “prototype” wing.
To reach same performance as shown in the video, you have to use a light motor/ battery setup, like I do.

For my modified EasyCub I made special plastic wing joiners using “rapid prototyping”.
Very soon, it will be easy to get such parts. --> Just buy a FunCub kit
