Hmm.. That doesn't gel with the 3 dealers I have spoken to. They said would be amazed if they arrived by June..

One said he still waiting for items he ordered 6 months ago....he laughed when I mentioned the Funcopter ...

Lets hope that they are wrong

Hope that is wrong as I am selling a lot of my RC planes so that I can save up for the FunCub. I was hoping to get one this month

Anyone know what a suitable inexpensive motor would be?
Would the Hextronik HXT900 servos be an option for all six servos?

No, you can you use those for the ailerons and flaps but not the rudder and elevator. You will need a Hitec HS-82 sized servo for those two. I am using Typhoon 2 Digital Metal gear servos for those two. Link HERE

Motor 1 .. Motor 2.. either one with an APC 10x7

I have nearly completed my EasyCub. I have modified it with a nearly flat wing, flaps, ailerons and floats.

Thanks for the links. These motors seem to be smaller than the recomended Himax HC3516-0840 motor. I would really prefer a 5mm motor shaft as well.

Motors...oh boy..

I am pretty certain they are using the same fuse as the Easycub, perhaps Jurgen Heilig can chime in for further info. There are two issues, one is the diameter and the other is weight. I am using the 85 gram KDA motor and have the 3s1p 2100ma battery way back in the fuse on a thin plywood tray to get COG. A 35mm motor just fits in the nose with no breathing room. Many of the guys using the 35mm are cutting away some foam for cooling, see this post. The size of the motor shaft is small on the motors I listed they are not designed for crashes and will bend if hit too hard. They have the power for great flight with extra power, but will not hover or go vertical for long. I would never fly a Cub that way, but that's me.

I'm hooked! Has anyone else done the math on how much this little darling is going to cost?
I've just got a couple of wild guesses here, please tell me if I'm way off:

Fuse 130.00
Motor 35.00
ESC 55.00
DSM2 rcvr 70.00
6 servos 120.00
Battery 60.00
Misc. 30.00

Best guess total $500.00 not including tax. This would include the flap option, but not the floats, unless they are included in the base price of the plane. I don't think I've got the courage yet to put this thing on floats, although it obviously handles it very well.

Does this seem about right? I need to know how many pints of blood I've got to sell to get ahold of one of these!

And another obviously newb question: These planes are manufactured in Germany, is that correct? Thanks in advance.

Hey out of curiosity, I've passed by this thread a few times (not clicking on it, just reading the title). Is there anyone else who read the title as "FunClub"? I thought this thread was about all the "Fun" foamies from MPX, like funjet, funcopter, etc.
