Tower Hobbies is accepting orders, but not giving a delivery date as of yet, showing them on "on order". The US price from Tower is $119.99. There is no picture or other data on the site.

Okay, another question before the Board;

If I'm lucky enough to get one of the first shipment of Fun Cubs with no electronics, servos, etc., has anyone gone through the task of finding out which servos, ESCs, motor, and especially receiver can be plugged in? I've got a DX7 that I'm itching to fill up some more, and I'll absolutely guess that the typically well engineered factory stuff isn't going to work with any of the DSM2 stuff. Is it time to sit down with a sharp pencil and figure out all the US available equivalents? I want my laundry list to be complete so I can go flying as quickly as possible after I get my FC. I still think a custom cub like I'm talking about will comfortably beat the death out of $500.00 USD by the time it is all said and done. Um, what a surprise...
Bueller?
Jurgen?
Anyone?
And one other note: How do you get the optional flaps ordered, or do they all just come with them and then you add servos to make them active?

If anyone has any input on this, I'm certainly listening

I am also very interested in recommendations of electronics and motors.

I can help you with the flaps. Download the PDF manual from the link in post #16 and you will see that the parts for the flaps are included in the kit.

I'm a bit surprised that nobody asked Martin how he flattened the wing on his modified Easy Cub..

JohnM,
Thanks for the input. I'll take a look at all that assembly stuff so that I'm ready!

And on dekan's behalf:
Martin, how did you flatten the wing on your Easy Cub? CF rod, heat and strapping tape?

Aha!
From what I can tell, the build quality of these Multiplex aircraft is definitely " a cut above". Can't wait to get my FC!

How about this motor for a lighter weight setup?

http://www.hobbypartz.com/75m21-opti...10-1020kv.html

Optima 480 Brushless Motor 3010-1020KV 275W D:37,L:32,Shaft:4

Any idea of how much wind this plane could handle setup lighter than stock?
