Right now I have 4 wheel collars with long set screws to attach HD rubber bands on, which work's OK, but ordered these specially made FCub gear for $60.00 that should be here Tue. They are lite and shock absorbing and very scale. Dave/ZEEZEE

Here we go again...(Just kidding)...really, there are many ways to modify your landing gear. Click on the "thread tools" tab above and then click on "show attachments in this thread". You'll see how others have modified their landing gear.

Decalage is a term that comes from Europe, and it means the difference in angle of incidence between wings, (decks), of a multi-decked, (winged) airplane.
The angular difference of incidence between wing & horizontal stabilizer is referred to as "longitudinal dihedral", but hardly anybody ever uses that, except maybe aerodynamicists,
and I know one of those who refers to those flaps out on the back of the wings as "air-lons"!
Many aviation terms come to us from France, for example: "fuselage,
"emmpenage", "decalage", "aileron", etc. I'm not sure what the French call a wing, but in Germany, a mono-plane is an "eindekker", a biplane is a "doppeldekker, or something like that.
Anyway, you can call it whatever you like!

Oh, and by the way, "angle of attack" is an instantaneous parameter, not related to attitude, but to the "relative wind" that a flying aircraft is meeting now.

I've been learning stuff for over 80 years. I've been blessed with steady nerves,
a good memory, good health, and I got educated before that stupid "hooked on phonics" crap came along, so if I just kicked off without trying to help other people with similar interests, wouldn't that be a big-assed waste?

I maidened my second Cub today. Thanks for every bodies advice during the build. Per Del-Dredds recommendation I fitted an EMAX 2815/09. Slightly more powerful than the 3536/8 I am running in my other FC (380W vs 360W-ish) on a 12/6 each. Like it!
