I'll be there Saturday morning. Unfortunately, I'm booked for Sunday so I'll have to get all the points in one day.

I like what I see in the Skew-T forecasts 48 hours out (Saturday). Due west winds at
up to 30mph at 10k foot level.

Ming, we use winglets on our combat Bees that are about the size of those
that you supply with the Scout. 200-212mm long, and 114_mm tall.
In fact I mounted even larger winglets to my Scout, and used the 3mm thick
Scout winglets on my backup Bee.

Using oversized winglets allows the plane to recover from hits *much* more quickly
and also allows it to be flown with a much more aft CG for more maneuverability
(up to 8 3/4" back or ~ 222mm)

I also cut my winglets with the flutes aligned with the upper straight edge
rather than the bottom. This gives them more rigidity in the vertical direction
and they're much less likely to fold over due to a hit, or accidentally setting something
on them in the car.

Had a great time this weekend. There was danger, excitement and some dude in a loin cloth. Thanks for a great event Justin. The Super 77th certainly lived up to its hype.

you forgot the UFO report from Heeney they saw several contestants being transported(in a tracktor beam no doubt) up to the mothership hovering over the camground , fortunately they were released after a few medical experiments, and their memories of the event erased.

The attack on Jeff and Dave by the crazed maniacs.

The Jesus dude was in Silverthorn(on the median strip) armed with crosses and a black priest outfit with a Russian orthadox hat.

He pointed the cross right at me.

Justin said he hired the guy to hex everyone coming up to the event.

My mojo was uneffected other than a lower GI attack brought on by e coli served to me at burger king.

Another fine event put on by Justin. Hope we get to do it again next year. Good to see the regulars again and meet some new people.

So, who had the most deaths and worst ratio? Don't really care about who won or anything like that.

Meanwhile I performed some triage on my wing. Pic shows what is left of the nose. One weekends worth of carnage is all it took. Think this will finally push me to become a card carrying member of the Bee nation.

I had another blast this year (no pun intended). It'll be a shame for the fireworks to disappear but I think we're all in agreement that they should for the sake of longevity of the event. Hell, by the end of the war, it seemed even the snakes and sparklers were a hit...we could settle for that crap.
Justin puts on a great event, the T's are sweet and man what I wouldn't give for that trophy. Will the winner (Steve?) please post a pic of its' final resting place? Great flying with all you guys. Rene, quit harassing me on my motorcyle on the way home, it was stressful enough going through the 50 degree downpour in Fairplay, hah!
