I like what I see in the Skew-T forecasts 48 hours out (Saturday). Due west winds at
up to 30mph at 10k foot level. ian |

Ming, we use winglets on our combat Bees that are about the size of those
that you supply with the Scout. 200-212mm long, and 114_mm tall. In fact I mounted even larger winglets to my Scout, and used the 3mm thick Scout winglets on my backup Bee. Using oversized winglets allows the plane to recover from hits *much* more quickly and also allows it to be flown with a much more aft CG for more maneuverability (up to 8 3/4" back or ~ 222mm) I also cut my winglets with the flutes aligned with the upper straight edge rather than the bottom. This gives them more rigidity in the vertical direction and they're much less likely to fold over due to a hit, or accidentally setting something on them in the car. ian |
