Way to dig up a 10-year old photo, Thomas! It's not been THAT long...

Sounds like a fun time. Schedule permitting, I'll be there to provide at least some local presence. Not every Eagle Butte flier lives on the other side of the mountains

I have not heard that.

Grapes would not appreciate a good 80 mph day like we do.

A few places to reference.

I though I'd throw this on here because there are probably quite a few subscribed. I'm heading over to Eagle Friday (3/11 just for the day) and was wondering if anyone wanted to carpool over there (I'm in the puyallup area).

Spring Opener 2011

Great trip last Saturday. It was On! 30mph building to 50 by the time we left.

Derrick, David, Brian and I made the trek. And what a trek it was.

On the way over we were turned back with a "Chains Only Access" going over the pass.

Brian's rental car was 2 wheel drive.

It cleared up pretty quickly and we were on our way.

Returning that evening was another story. Chains Only Access again, then the pass closed. I guess it was a real mess up there. Our backup route was Blewett Pass followed by Stevens Pass. A 2 hour delay, but we made it back across the mountains. The joys of a Spring storm.

I think we have had more snowfall in the last 3 to 4 weeks than all of the rest of the season. 20+ feet in some area's.

Anyway, it was good to dust off the stick's and let'r rip!

I could be persuaded. The 10 minute drive is not too taxing. And I have a Typhoon that needs to be maidened.

20mph 210-240 pretty much straightin all day. couple of deep therm cycles. 1 harrowing ass-pucker with my 4m ls4 but manage to scratch it back.

maidens for the season:
me - europhia (hauls ass in higher winds)
craig - contender and traggi
mike backed out of tossing typhoon after seeing me scratch the ls4

tomorrow forecast promising. today wouldve definitely been worth a day trip so tomorrow is bonus.
