What should I do?!?!?

In case you guys don't want to read my planes story heres it plane and simple: What color should I put on the bottom of my plane? Tell me what color and design you think it needs! Thanks! -Tyler


Well you guys, my Trojan was getting really beat up. I was thinking of trashing it and then getting a Radian. Well I decided I'd try to make it look nice first and this is what happened... amazing huh? I just used some lightweight spackle, and then sanded. The blue is just handpainted on. The black is electrical tape. I still need to apply decals though. But I still am clueless... What should I do with the Bottom?!?! I NEED HELP!!!!! Tell me what you think! Thanks! -Tyler

If you HAD to put something there I would put a stripe. About half the width the of the ailerons. An pure black

If it was my plane, I'd leave it just the way it is. Looks awesome the way it is.

Just because you can do something, doesn't necessarily mean you should.

Looks fine the way it is.

I like it as is. Nice job, the only thing I would add is my name and phone number in small letters with a fine tip sharpie just in case!

Wow that is amazing! good job, I am so bad at painting and colour schemes, I think the silver bottom will do just fine up high and you should be able to tell top from bottom.

I think the trick is that I used silver for the base, and then handpainted the black and blue. This worked a lot better than trying to spray paint the entire thing. -Tyler

I have the T-28D. I painted everything that was blue black and have some flourescent green zombie decals and trim stripes. I took a sheet of the same green I did the stripes in and made the whole underside of the wing that color. I can't tell you how many times it has saved my butt because it is soooo easy to find the orientation very quickly. It doesn't look so hot on the ground, but I love having it that way on a grey plane when it is in the sky.

That being said, I would pick up the black trim color on the top-side and make the whole underside (or a large portion of it) black or even just pick a flourescent color and do the same thing. I really helps orientation and since you aren't doing a copy of an actual historical color scheme you don't have to worry about historical accuracy.

The previously mentioned invasion stripes would probably accomplish the same thing.
