our soaring brothers

http://usf3jteam.com/index.php

That is the website for the 2010 USA F3J team. In July we will be sending our team to France for the world championships. Part of that team is Phil Barnes as an official tower. The fund raising could use a little bump so please go by there and hit em up for a couple of raffle tickets. If you are not interested in one of those top of the line (oversized) models they are giving away I will be glad to fly it for ya. I may even trade you a Sirius for it :-)

Bruce

Wow, they have an amazing raffle there. I just sent them my $20. Really generous sponsors. I hope F3K team gets as much help next year...

I just bought $20 worth of raffle tickets. I just got skunked at out club's raffle, so I've built up some karma.

Thanks for starting this thread Bruce. Otherwise, I surely would have missed it.

I was asked to tow for F3J at the NATS last year, and that was an excellent experience. I hope to get the chance to tow again someday.

Go team USA!

I made a small donation, just because it's for a good cause.

I'm sure the F3K community will support the US F3K team greatly.

One nice thing about F3K though is you won't need to raise as much $$ to transport/house/feed the towers. Or in the case of F3B you won't need to transport heavy winches, heavy line, or the helpers.

BTW guys, the very best way to support the team is through raffle tickets. The team gets 100% of the money. I always like to get a t-shirt or two, but the fact is that they don't see nearly the same dollars as if you buy raffle tickets.

Plus look at the prizes. Don't forget to support the guys who support our teams. Next time you need a new Tx, a plane, some servos, some parts, get it from one of these guys.

Wow

You guys really rock! This support from our F3K brothers is really fantastic. I'm sure it will come back around for our US F3K team! It really takes a tremendous amount of support to get the team and all the needed equipment to Europe for the WC and it could not be accomplished without everyone's help!

There was a question on the Raffle date. It will be in late July, just before the team travels. The date is not picked yet, but it will be held "live" on the F3J team tread so everyone can follow along. Here is the thread link: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1113134

Also here is the team website again for more information: http://usf3jteam.com/

Thanks again guys- keep it coming

OVERSIZED models Bruce? LOL!!! They have gotten a tad bit large. I plan on flying a 150" model at the WC's in France. Which, btw, will be raffled off ready to fly, radio and all... along with all the other fine raffle prizes. I'd like to thank you guys for all the donations and raffle ticket purchases. It's a huge help.

The entire soaring community just rocks!!!

Thanks again

D
