You must never sleep - I could never get such detail in 6 months of work. Simply fantastic!

What is the weight of the canopy? I would be interested in giving a try at something similar. Could you brief me on what the process is?

Thanks for sharing such beatiful work!

Steve

Thanks for the good words Steve. It is a cardmodel built from .pdf files available at http://www.modeltek.com in the UK. PayPal the man $10.00 USD and he e-mails the files to you. Very complete and very well thought out kit. I have used my Adobe PhotoShop and gone to the next level with desert camy and USMC color schemes. The net gain in weight with this fuselage is around 28g. The CF tail boom goes away and the monocoque construction of the Cobra tail boom takes it's place. Right nice piece of work. I have custom built about four so far for other heli pilots and have found a few minor tricks to improve and simplfy the process. I am considering doing a construction article for the Zone to share what I have learned. A photo quality printer adds to the finished result. I am getting between $50.00 and $60.00 a pop for these but really don't plan to continue. All the folks that posted on the Ikarus piccolo board have agreed not to share these files as the guy who did the design work has a ton of sweat equity invested. Just a matter of ethics. He is currently working on a Commanche design using a GWS EDF40/50 for the T/R and then plans to bring an Apache to market. Exciting stuff

VERY SWEET,

I've got to come down and take a look at these (and other stuff) for myself. I wouldn't be soon but how do you feel about an "uninvited" guest? LOL

Cheers
John

BTW, we've got to try to get a heli eflight flyin in Mississippi in the future.

Hey John. Sounds good to me. I'm still doing consulting design engineering work for Northrop Grumman out of my home office, but most weekends have a tad of free time.
