I just maidened mine today and all I have to say is (very fast little jet for its size).

I used Futaba S3156 (very solid servo).

I had very mixed feelings about this jet when first came out due to the so called cheater hole all are talking about but after seeing one up close I don't feel it is a cheater hole but an intake as noticable from the side view, yes it would have been cool to have ducting but i think it would have added a lot of weight to a very small jet, I also think it is great that they kept the side intakes as they provide cooling to the esc which I think is great.

The design is very simple and to the point, I didn't use the skids nor did I use the bungee system as it launches very easy by hand (plenty of power).

She flies very nice and cuts through the wind like butter.

The only thing I didn't like is the edf unit, I felt that its made cheap but then again it provides the needed power (if I build a second one I would use something with better quality).

Like it so much I bought a backup kit when Tower had free shipping. The current one is getting beat up; most recently the entire fan unit came loose from the fuze during flight - still flew, just not as good

Put another six fights today, this thing is a rush.

I'm thinking of buying a second one and pimping it out, I'm thinking about a Vasa 65mm and a new paint job.......we shell see as I haven't made my mind.

So far I like very much...........its cheap, its fast to put together, its small and easy to
transport and its very fast for its size..........it feels like the jet version of the electrifly rifle.

I have an alfa 60mm clone that i might squeeze in, or if i build ducting i might do a hayoe 51mm 7blade with a dons 4400+ or 4800kv

With the 60mm fan a new thrust tube would have to be made and the old one cut out as its a bit small for the 60.

But the hayoe would be more of a match for the inlet size.

Either way thats later, after some fun stock cept for the 4400+

Yeah! I haven't checked on the options for a different fan yet - probably would go that way. I do have to saythough, for the piece of crap fan it is, it sure hustles!

That's a great fan but how are you going to get that in there - the Hypreflo fan is only 56mm?

the problem is the exit dia,to big a fan and it gets choked too much 70%fsa and below is no good, but 75%-85% is the sweet spot.

I actually like the fan, just the adapters ive gotten are always so sloppy.

Ooooops, got the 56mm mixed with 65mm........had a brain fart.

Who else makes a 56mm edf unit that you can install a 29mm motor????

Hows the bungie launcher that comes with the kit? Ive never bugie launched before, always hand launched, not nervous about trying it, just kinda new lol

That makes two of us, I always hand launch mine.

Are you runnin the 3790kv stock motor?

The dons 4400+ is 20 grams lighter than the stock motor , Just thinkin out loud.

Anyway good to know that HL is working for this bird I will prolly do the same, The feild i fly at has this mound in just the right spot so no matter wich way ther wind is blowing you can always launch down hill.
