Not to scare you, but this plane is hard to slow down..even at its lowest practical speeds, it appears fast because of its size. With that said, you may want to try a 5x3 or 5x4 prop for possibly more thrust at lower speeds.On the other hand, the rifle tracks very well and offers no surprises. Wind helps slow landings, which as the instructions say, will take a much longer and shallower approach than usual. Use an experienced launcher. Keep the plane in a constant turn with ̃he top of wing facing you as often as possible. You do not need parts..if you destroy one part, the rest will likely need replacing. The biggest danger is the firewall coming out, and the fuse developing cracks and seam splits.. Repairable with the usual glassing methods. Now go fly!
