One of my local flying spots

Yesterday was sunny with a light wind but temperature was about 5C.
A quick trip up to a local moor, not far from home, and a favourite slope soaring site when the winds right. Usually only me up there and sometimes a walker in the distance.

A few aerial shots I took yesterday.

Great pictures! I saved a couple for my desktop back ground. Just the right color to see all the icons.

Thanks for the comments.
Glad the photos were O.K for a backgrond. I will have to do "colours to order". >:-)

It was a bit hazy when I took the photos. A few days earlier it was amazingly clear visibility but I wasn't able to get out flying that day. Weather looks good for a few days so I am hoping to get some more AP done.

Hi Walter,
Thanks for the comments. The photos are taken at a spot just on the edge of the Lake District.
I have lots of very nice places in mind for this summer. I had them in mind for last summer as well but the weather was terrible... constantly windy and too much rain.

This week looks favourable for a few days flying, cold, clear and light wind for several days here on the west coast of England.

Great pictures, but I'm confused. I thought a moor was a marshy area.. The rolling hills in you pictures remind me of the foothills on the southern end of the central valley of California.
