Ouch!

This is a great reason to not let your second plane be a starmax he-162 edf. I salvaged the electronics but the plane was totalled. This was hard to get over haha.

Almost totaled it on the takeoff roll on the curb!

He had full power and it climbed out okay, and kept full power so it shouldn't have stalled. So my guess is the junk electronics that came with it glitched out and it rolled over and in...I'm an accomplished pilot, and it happened to me with a 70mm edf F-18...never again. My suggeston is use name brand esc, tx, rx, motor, servos.

Yea I suspected that the electronics were bad by the way the engine changes pitch midway through the flight. And no I haven't listened to that radio show. I had never heard of it but I will definately tune in.

Did you have it on high throws? It looked a bit squirrely and barely missed the curb (or did the plane clip the curb?). I am sorry to see that happen to any plane that we didn't intentionally put down.

the radio it came with didn't have a switch for dual rates. I'm sure there was some way to do it but i was ready to get out and fly. It didn't clip the curb I don't believe.

A roll to inverted continuing into a loop that close to the ground will never end happy

At least you got the electronics out of it which are junk?

Well thats a whole other story. I built my first depron plane, an f-15, and on my hand toss a wire came loose and the prop sliced right through it, effectively and surgically ruining my aileron servo
