Heh, I still have that plane Cry. As good as new too. I put about 20 flights on it, and it's pretty dusty now.. I'm starting to get interested in planes again, so will probably be at MARC this summer with it.

I'm not a current member there though, I was in 2011. will I have to go through 'flight training'?

Dave, so good to hear from you!

I hope you do come out and join us flying this year at MARC.

I miss watching you fly.

Joe or Steve will be able to answer the question about getting checked out or not.

Thanks! I just got a T-28 Funfighter with a couple little 4S packs and am working on that $99 Dago Red pylon from HL.
The only 3D plane I have is the HK 48" 4S Edge 540, which is not that bad of a flyer I guess. It's a re-start. I'll probably get the 3DHS buck and a half one next.

You may want to consider an Extreme Flight airframe - they are great!

Regardless it will be great to see your flying style again. Alot of great memories from 60 acres.

I'll be adding pictures to this posting as I go. Eventually I'll update my blog with this information. After it flies, and I've made some pdf plans I'll post a build log. Got the nose section built. Only five more pieces to cut and install: 2 fins, 2 bottom side fuselage, one center bottom fuse.

Seems like a good portion of this thread is centered on 'noise mitigation' at MARCS field. I'm excited to try the sbach 100cc with the new prop I picked up from supaTim and Tom at Valley View.
My current prop is a Vess 28a and I can already tell its going to rip something Fierce. Seems they are notorious for being noisy.
The new prop is the sweeeetttt Valley View Hover 27x10. The finish looks comparable to a Mejlek. Can't wait to spin her up.
Ill post some pics tomorrow.

I assume you bought it from Jholen when he got out of the hobby?
Glad to know she's still around and gonna fly again

regarding the proficiency check..this is what the rules state.

Quote:
Beginning with the 2012 membership year, MAR/C will require Proficiency Check Flights for all new members. A “New Member” is defined as someone who has not been a member for at least one calendar year immediately preceding the year of application.
http://www.mar-c.org/content/flight-proficiency-check

Sounds like you will have to go through the procedure. Should be a piece of cake for you

If I were a spektrum user, I'd be pretty excited to try one of these out.
