Both combined are certainly cheaper than the new Eagletree 3 axis unit.
That orangerx unit looks nice and "finished", but if for a foamy, you'd prolly either remove it from the case, or just try out the hobbypartz unit.
Takin your advice. What the heck both on order.

I know the OrangeRX is Futaba compatable. Took a $20 risk on the hobbypartz. I have heard about some servo jitter issues, however I will see if I can work around it in the TX or perhaps see if I can tweak the RX firmware with some expert help.

If you decide you don't want the orange RX, I'll take it off your hands.
I'm cleaning the garage over the next few days and rediscovered I had a fiberglass FPV plane and I don't have weight constraints as much as one would with a foamy.

That orangerx might be a neat addition for this plane.

Thanks Steve. I'll take a look. Starting to rack up the pack cycles on my crack yak.

Sometimes I just open the garage door & fly spontaneously. I even tried to land on my wife’s car, in motion, the other day as she drove into the neighborhood. Failed Attempt! lol

The sun came out today at the Mt Rainier club. I am really loving the Pilot Edge the more I fly it. I also found out I really love flying side by side NASCAR style with other 100cc planes. The sight and sound of that is simply awesome!

The day was great besides one mishap I'm sure Tim will fill the gang in.

Hey Lee,
I have the HK 3 axis flight stabilizer. Here is my opinion:
"I'll give it to you free of charge"
That's my story and I'm stickin with it...

I'm interpreting that as not a good thing?

Maybe I need to get the eagletree or futaba gyro. Seems kind of pricy route for a funcub trainer project though. Have you peeked at the firmware code on the HK or are you thinking its a component or ic issue? Pm me so we don't geek everybody out. Lol

I almost power spit when I saw it Vitter! Just nasty! Glad he's ok. "Ok" being relative.

19 stitches and a bunch of Vicodin later I'm good now just sore as heck. Plane started and lunged at me and got me good. Carbon props hurt and don't break... Just a reminder that accidents can happen to anyone, even SupaTim...

Glad your ok! Sorry you got hurt. Good safety reminder Supatim. Props can bite back.

Guess we will stop with all the wild rumors now. Last rumor I heard was that you had part of a fuselage lodged in your behind, you were heli-lifted out to harbor view for intensive "plane in the a#$" extraction surgery. lol
