WANING SENSITIVE VIEWERS SHOULD CHANGE THREADS NOW!

She was so young. RIP 3/1/10 - 9/30/10 My AJ Slick. But so well used.

She was so well used the wing tube area was getting sloppy and the wings had play around the fuselage. The bad news is I dumb thumbed her in and I cant reuse me graphics. The good news is now the new one will be nice and tight again.

Despite my mishap I had a good time flying with the gang and I really got a kick out of Dman's 330sc graphics.

Bummer Vitter. She'll be missed. It was the most decorated and photographed plane in the Seattle 3D thread! What kind of a dumb thumb was it?

The end of an era...

Vitter, you've had that plane for almost a year now with no incidents it feels
like the end of an era. I hope you'll get a replacement going soon.
Here is the website for the graphics guys you could get custom decals from.

http://www.deptgraphics.com/
Department Graphics is in Everett and comes highly recommended.

I was also just looking at the Go Pro Hero camera, and the ones that are capable of 1080p are $270.00 to $300.00 which is the same price range I was talking about. Check out the Contour HD camera, because I believe it is much more versatile and in a more sleek compact package. It Does 1080p (30fps), and 640 x 480 at 60fps. It has a wide 135 degree viewing angle where the Go Pro Hero only captures 127 degrees on 1080p mode. The contour HD also has lasers on the front that allow you to re-level the camera no matter what angle you place it at.

Here is the website: http://contour.com/camera/contour_hd

Sukhoi 29 - Contour HD Full-res test (3 min 38 sec)

Check it out in fullscreen in 1080p mode, if your computer is a little slow it the video may be a little jerky.

Marymoor today..

Sorry Vitter... your preminition about my Slick going down today must have been about yours.

We did have a good fly day prior to the incident that must have happened after I left... that one last flight...

Here are some of Vitter's warbird pics from today with Tankgirlfuzzy.

Looking forward to seeing some pics of D-Man's new plane.

Hi guys!

Nice pics gabrielisrael! It was a nice afternoon of flying and I had a good time hanging out with you guys. My FW190 looked real good up in the air with Vitter's Mustang! They're pretty much the exact same scale, since the Mustang was a slightly bigger plane in real life. Too bad you couldn't get any in-air shots. I always have a blast doing tailchases/dogfights with 60-sized Allied warbirds! Hope to do it again soon.

Sorry to hear about your Slick, Vitter. It must have happened right after I left.

It was nice watching you guys fly today at Marymoor. Looks like you have a very nice group. D-man and I will definitely get the mm Mustangs going at Flaming Geyser field.

Thanks, Azhar, for the Sbach.

Congrats on the Sbach! Always nice seeing non-koolaid planes

What engine do you have in it? DLE 30? I've got a scheme a sbach and just recently made the switch from 6s to 8s for a bit more power and more importantly some nose weight to help my cg.

It was sad to see the slick go down Vitter, but I know the next one will be better. I guess you will have to 3D the mini midget mustang next LOL

Cool I will look into them. If I can get the grafics cheaper then the first set I would do the same schema again.

Yup I was hovering it yesterday. LOL The only part I'm real bumbed about is the grafics. If I can't find them cheaper then I will just buy they yellow 89" Slick. With the price i paid for the plane and graphics last time I could have bought the 50cc Slick.
Decisions decisions.

Thursday at Marymore

Hey Vitter, sorry to hear about your mishap. Actually I'm glad I had already left because I would hate to have seen it happen

It was great putting some faces with the names. It's a great group. Thanks much to you DMan for the pointers. If I can meet up with you guys often enough I may learn to do some real 3D yet.

Joe
