yeah purple wouldn't look good with a black cowl.
so it will either be the polished stock or black.

Deanna said get purple if I want to "clown up the plane", so NOOO, I've already owned one clown plane.
Don't need another
lol

Now that I see the spinner the purple is to light. Go with the shinny one.

Have to run this by the group.
I was planning on using a CF spinner with the Tru Turn metal backplate, but I have to use the Tru Turn spinner cone.

Shiny spinner which is the stock way, or anodized black or purple spinner cone.
I vote black as well.

By the way, after huck, I'm pulling the fortitude tank.
I don't like how flimsy it is..personal preference to use the Nalgene based B&B master tanks.

its free to whomever wants it.
its a thirsty two ouncer.

thanks!
Amazing what can be done when there isn't a rush to get it done.
More time can be spent on a clean install.

The gap between the spinner backplate and the cowl is about as thin as I dare go so that nothing rubs when in flight. I was really happy, and admittedly, relieved that it turned out after I had mounted the cowl halves. Its a pain in the rear to unbolt the engine just to add a washer on each standoff.

I'm going to go with the silver spinner. Anodizing is an additional $20 clams on top of the $98 spinner cone cost. Yeah, I don't want to spend the extra bucks. Thats like 4 more raffle tickets at the huck.

Dman, the Pau 50cc will be mine! Along with the DA-60
LOL!!

They make a very sharp looking airplane. I really would like to try one out, maybe a 30cc model.

Thats a seriously fastidious build! I wish I could bring myself to do all of that work in the cockpit.

Thanks alot.

I'm trying to keep myself from pulling everything out of the way and paint the interior that pebbled grey paint that alot of Carden and Dalton builders use to protect the interior wood and give it a nice clean finish.

some additional assembly shots of the interior after I dressed up the hoses and cables.

Nice build Cry, I'm envious, I'm too impatient and well you know....

I like a spinner with contrast to the cowl for visibility, so I vote shiny silver.

The thing with the fortitude tanks is the size 16 oz and 32 oz, what we want is 20 oz and 40 oz for today's bigger engines.

I vote for shiny silver as well on the spinner. Cry your attention to detail is simply amazing. Absolutely stunning build, perhaps I will see the finished product in the near future maybe at Wenatchee.

Shiny silver it will be.

Thanks for the compliments. I appreciate that.

Maiden is coming up tomorrow or Saturday. Place is yet to be determined
And if I don't wad it all up on the first flight, it definitely will be with me at Wenatchee.

Thanks Chuck, it's 30cc (Hacker A60) and will be with me at HF.

You have built a beautiful plane! Really sharp, can't wait to see it in the air.

Cool.

by the way. If anyone wants some of the tech flex braiding I have, I bought a 100 foot spool locally and have plenty left. Since it doesn't have the Panduit name on it, it was pretty inexpensive. Glad to donate some to someone's next build.
