I have some family matters to take care of, so I will probably not be able to join the 3D mob group today, but I will try to swing in later before it gets dark. Sunday's are a family day for us.

Just got back from a couple days in CA. Before I left I finished up a LumberWorks Edge 540 30cc (using the Hacker A60 from my retired Vyper). Assuming I get done with a couple honey do's I should be able to make it out today at 4 for the maiden.
Chet, if you want to bring all the pieces by this week we can get your plane back together. It doesn't look like it will be too difficult, might only take an hour or so, depends on the details of the damage. I'm also about finished converting the Velox from turbine mount to the Schubie electric EDF. I was hoping to finish everything in time for Jets Over Whidbey but was interupted by the need to replace the two 3D birds I lost over the past month, so that's not going to happen. I still plan to attend on Saturday, 8/25. Won't be flying the Spark at the Sanctioned event flying but I probably will during the open flying that starts at 5pm. |

It was motioned by Steve and unanimously agreed to by all who flew yesterday: "Best Day of the Year"
![]() The Lumber Works Edge flew fantastic in Flops hands and a little pitchy in mine. It tends to drop a wing at stall, somewhat different then what I'm used to with 3DHS stuff but nothing I can't adjust to. Gotta love that Hacker A60. |

Jealous of all the flying everyone's gettin in. Real work is definitely interfering with my RC! Sorry about the whole light thing, I'm just the messenger. Shoot him a PM and I' sure he'll get you squared away. Hopefully he can have a few extras for HF just in case.
Thank God for crack yaks and MQX's or I wouldn't have gotten any stick time this weekend, sounds like I have bunch of catching up to do to keep up w you guys! Off to tradeshows in Vegas for a week so just going to have to do my RC'ing vicariously through "The Mob!" |

PM Brett, tell him the wing span of your plane and he'll do what you need to get your lights to you. D-Man |

There was a lot of Fun Cub yesterday. We are looking to do some kind of after hours event. Things that might be fun to do: Hover gaggle, hover handoff, mass KE pass, formation flying, endurance flying, limbo/inverted limbo. Maybe we should organize it as a scavenger hunt. I can ask Hitec if they would donate something to participating pilots as long as we post cool photos/video in some thread.
