anyone's welcome to hang out in my spot if they don't need to camp. If you prefer hotels a good place to stay is Cedars Inn which is close.

ditto here.
looks like we will all be pretty close together so it could be a community camp area

I'm going to take you and Cry up on your gracious offers. My idea of roughing it is a queen sized bed instead of a king. I just need to find enough space to wiggle my little 5ft wide trailer into for the afternoon (willing to trade Honda power for space )

ah perfect.
The local guys Bar and Grill!

coolers full of ice cold blue moon and shock top with orange slices and hot dogs, burgers and chicken burning on the grill

Can't wait!

you guys that went last year...how big are the tent spots.
I'm going to need to buy a new tent and don't want to try and shoehorn a 12' tent into a 5' space
I like tents I can stand up in.

Cry,

Mike H. would be able to give ya specific measurements but for the day I was there it looked like a 10X10 easyup fit with more then enough room.

Why are we waiting til Sept? We need to do this sooner so we are seasoned vets by the time this comes around! A first year membership is about what we'll pay for staying the weekend and I'm pretty sure if we do it any other weekend we don't have to pay to camp. I can rally a few "big sticks" from the other side if we want to do it up sooner? Either way I'm up for a weekend adventure to Wenatchee!

I always like a dry run so you remember what you forgot the first time! The Huck last year was my first time there and it's always scary for me to step up to a new field ESPECIALLY in front of a crowd. It's only 950ft higher but planes/motors/engines react differently than how they're dialed in at sea level. Wish I took the opportunity to fly there before I sacrificed two big birds to "The Huck..."

Agreed. This is how I felt last year when I competed in some Imac contests.
Adding the judging portion causes thumbs to shake.

And I did notice a big difference in the output of the DA-170 in Wenatchee versus lower altitudes. I had to adjust the high needle to get rpms back
