I was having loads of trouble changing the date on my #3 cam


I was doing all the correct date formats but it wasnt changing anything.

A few times in this thread said to take a video then turn it off which was what I was doing.

Taking video didnt work for me, as soon as I took a picture instead it worked first go.

I`m getting grey-haired over this. I tried every possible suggestion in this thread but no help Not sure wich version I have, but the date stamp showa a slash (/) so...........???? HEEELP!!!!

post a video of your camera i spent the extra bux on the #11 camera and its great so far records in HD the other #3 cameras have great quality picture but crap out all the time and u need to keep buying more ive had the #11 camera for i donno maybe 9 months? now and rarely use it but everytime i need to use it it works as it should i have 2 other keychain cameras here that have crapped out and also had another exploded while charging

I've used the keychain cameras for a while on my rockets, has anyone modded the camera for a light weight heli(mjx f47)or does it not weigh enough to worry about?I love these things I have two and am getting one or two more..there cheap enough

I just purchased a 808 camera from Amazon. (This one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o03_s00_i00)

When I plug it in, the light flashes (should be steady). When I unplug it, it is unresponsive. Youtube recognized it as a camera and I was able to record a short clip. In the bottom left corner it says "DV V0.29". The resolution is 360. Other than Youtube, no other program (so far) has recognized it and I cannot get it to record to SD at all.

So, I have two questions.

1. How can I determine which version of camera I have?
2. Any tips on how I can get it working?

I have tried:
New USB cord, new usb port, format SD card, reset camera, unplug while pushing power button, plug in while pushing power button, charge from USB wall adapter.

Does it appear to respond to the button presses correctly?
I assume you have charged the battery. Without it connected to anything does pressing the rear button turn it on (light illuminates)? From there, does a quick press of the front button take a picture (light goes out momentarily)? Does a long press put it into movie record mode (light goes out)?
Mine saves the pictures as .jpg files and the movies as .avi files (very large ones at that). I haven't tried to use it as a webcam while connected to a computer.

you have to make sure the SD card is formatted in FAT, using a PC , it doesn't work formatting it on my MacBook Pro. Do yourself a favor and get a keychain camera that specifically states it is HD 720p with the H.264 codec. The video files it makes are .mp4 and are excellent quality as long as the camera doesn't vibrate on your plane. There is a list of trusted sellers somewhere in the threads about the 808 keychain cameras.. and in the following link.. I have a #11

I use a class 10 SD card with my Nikon D-90 DSLR,

I'd be getting something better especially if its a HD recorder (#11, 16 or 18). I use a class 10 on my #18. Also get a known brand. Worth spending a few dollars more as you can get missing frames on cheap cards.

Our own Aerial Photography forums have some of the best info on these cams. I don't use my #11 anymore after buying the #16 HD V2 with the D lens for $43. I love it. The great thing is, you can plug it into your puter and change any setting you want to with a GUI program available free.

Symon, 5 volts is OK but at those amps you will burn the battery real quick.

I know the #16 should not exceed 5 volts absolute maximum. Mine came with a cable that can plug direct into your plane receiver. This extends the video filming time and keeps it charged. This is the one I got here and it shows the cables that come with it. This seller is the manufacturer of these cams. Only safe way for you is charge it with the mini USB cable via your 'puter.
