Cool
MINI Spy Camera Key Chain Camcorder

I have not seen anything posted about this or through a search here. But pretty damn cool for this size! A key-chain size video camera, never knew about this before. Would be cool to put in the pilot house, on the bow or stern of the boat and record away. I've seen some videos around before, not sure what they used, but these are really small. Put this in a water tight clear compartment and either mount it under the hull to see whats down below, or attach it to a submarine. All for around $15.

Check one out on eBay

Eugene, Pkboo, had something similar on his PT boat at Madurodam.
It was about the size of a flash drive.

Perhaps you turn down the sound a bit, it captured
the sound from the gear drive really well...

I ordered 2 of these a few months back. I've been putting them on the bottom of my Eska Lama to toy around with. I plan to start attaching them to various points on my planes to get different views, and maybe as a backup recorder. They are really, really small and light. The cases are held on with small philips head screws and are easy to take off.

The date set thing actually works, unlike the dxtreme pen cams. The video is decent, even in somewhat low light, although much less grainy in high light. They do really good with sound, if you don't put them too close to an engine.

The one problem is figuring out what state they are in. They are meant for "stealth" recording so they don't have any lights on while they are recording. The included instructions I got with it were incorrect in what buttons needed to be pressed to record/stop recording.

The longest recording I have done was about 55 mins. Since there is no battery monitor I don't know how much was left.

I have a set of Dumas gears, never used them. I always use Stock Drive Products belts, not that I have alot of boats.

For the camera, I never saw something so compact & light, not that I was ever looking. These things could have been around for a while, just never noticed them. I know it's not new seeing recordings from boats like this, but these are pretty versatile. They can be put on anything, boats, heli's, planes, sub's, rockets, cats, dogs, kids to name a few, and not be invasive. We know what it's going to look like, but just the fact that if we could miniature ourselves and be on our miniature model and see the world from there, that would be cool. Just like from that old TV show called Land of the Giants. Anyone remember that show?

Yea, and I would assume it doesn't turn off after 5 seconds when it 45 degrees or less out! My flycam is such a pain! And this is almost $90 less than what I paid for!!!! But what was the shipping cost?

Amazon sells one with a micro sd card. Even though you get better quality and probably faster shipping with Amazon, you just can't beat $12
