Amazing scenery and skill

This has nothing to do with flying....but you will no doubt enjoy the absolutely beautiful Scottish landscapes and skill by Danny. The videography is stellar.

1 week to the Nov 27 HHS Dome Fly

Finish that new foamie build or fix-up the old gear!

You still have time to purchase an Early Bird Super Pass.

We will be having some fun fly competitive events, so bring along a throw down plane, and there may even be a PRIZE!

The landing gear doesn't look quite scale.

Yeah, the wheels may be a little small, and the gear a little tall, but who really cares....it's a 60%'er!

Have you taken delivery yet on the SuperHero Iron Man plane?

(3) days to the Nov 27 Dome Fly

We have approx (35) pilots signed up so far, so the fun is going to be exciting, wild, and action packed.

If you haven't had a chance to get down to Hobby Town yet to purchase your Early Bird Super Discount Pass...no worries...just come to the Dome this Saturday at 6pm, as we'll have passes available for purchase.

The dome is going to rock for indoor flying this season!

Happy Thanksgiving, and see ya Saturday!

Happy Thanksgiving

We're thankful for all the blessings, family, and friends, that God has provided.

For the turkey, well, that may be another story....

Dome on, Game on, FUN on!

It's finally here, Sat Nov 27, and from 6-9pm tonight the huge Hononegah HS dome is going to rock with the RVRCFLyers Dome Fly.

Come out of the cold and fly or spectate, either way it is going to be a blast!

Nov 27 Dome Fly Report

.
The first 2010-11 RVRCFlyers Dome Fly occured last night at the HHS dome.

1. (33) pilots participated
2. All pilots used 2.4 Tx's
3. Lots of spectators came out to watch the fun
4. Fred K. and Jim H. won the $15 Hobby Town gift certificate raffle for the season pass holders.
5. Tyler F. won the $10 Hobby Town gift certificate for the limbo bar contest.
6. Fred K. won the $10 Hobby Town gift certificate for the mini-IMAC contest
7. LeRoy W. won the crash of the night contest when his micro-Sukoi got tangled onto the tail feathers of Ron B.'s plane, and Ron kept flying around with LW's plane hitching a ride, then landed safely The crowd roared on this one!
8. John C. also had an interesting situation with his plane getting caught in the streamer tape during the mini-IMAC contest. The streamer held, and his plane just kept trying to pull out vertically. Eventually the streamer broke, and the plane flew free!
9. Mr. Jerry IMAC Superstar was seen hovering his plane! Who ever thought they'd see this?
10. I'm sure there were numerous other "situations" that I'm not aware of, as I did hear the crunch sound of foam collisions a few times. Hopefully you guys can post what you found interesting.

A great big THANK YOU goes out to all the pilots who participated last night, and to all those pilots who have purchased the Early Bird and 3-Pack season passes.

Everybody seemed to have alot of fun last night, and it was just great to see the dome sky literally filled with planes!

For those pilots who have been sitting on the sidelines waiting to pull the sticks on purchasing a pass, you can still purchase an Early Bird pass thru Dec 18 and come out ahead at $12.50 / remaining event. The 3-Pack MultiPass will also be available thru the Jan 8 event.

Only three short weeks till the next dome fly event on Sat Dec 18. Fred K. will be in charge on Dec 18, and he is already dreaming up a couple interesting competitive events. Who will be good enough to win the prizes on Dec 18?

JR Dave

Hummer Sport Canard

Like the GM Hummer, this Hummer is no longer available. I picked this up today from a neighbor, who scratch built it from a blue print.

I need to mount an electric motor, ESC, Rx, and battery. I may need a little assistance in mounting the motor, as the front end was designed for a spar mounted Speed 600, not a firewall mounted brushless motor.
