Brushless speed controller/motor Problem! HELP!
I've had my e-revo vxl for about a month now and the other night whilst I was using it the motor shut down and would only twitch in forward and did nothing in reverse. When I brought it in I felt the esc and it was very hot. I was running on 12 cell Ni-MH at the time.
Has anyone else had problems like this? I think it may be the esc but I'm hoping there will be a simple fix. |

Does it work now or after it cooled down. If it still does it then chances are you mite of damage the unit.

Yes it still does it when cold. I'm really annoyed that this has happened seeing as iv not long had it. Are there any alternative esc's available capable of running the velineon motor? I can't seem to find the velineon esc anywhere without the motor and it's damn expensive as the combo...

Yea it's the 1/16th. What are postage costs like from tower hobbies? I live in the UK.

No worries I managed to find the postage calculator, $10 priority mail international or $44 Ups worldwide saver. Finding available parts for the 1/16th seems a nightmare in the UK. Towerhobbies seem to have everything you could need.

Try to use an external bec.You won't use it's bec,so it will run cooler.This is for all escs that are working near their limits.For example:Mamba Max or EZrun 60A esc with 4S lipo.And you won't need a lot of money.(about 10 usd with shipping)
