what would be the OD?? 3mm i'm guessing, and ID 1.5mm??

Maybe as small as 2mm for the OTO/ZH bike... which would also work for the 1/5 scale if you are using fishing leader wire 40lb test or less

i have my OTO here with me at work, but no calipers....

That was me that used to make/supply the Sadi thread cables for Pat all that time ago. For the 1/8 bikes I used 1 layer of heat shrink and 2 layers for the 1/5 bikes. In the end, the place I was getting it from went out of business so I ended up sourcing a local Spring and Steel company to make me the outer cable to the dimentions I wanted,.. they did me lengths by the meter; 0.4mm stainless with 2.5mm OD x 2mm ID and I used 40 - 60lb leader wire from the local fishing tackle store.. Now Pat gets his cables made the same way I think.
