Switching from lipo 2 life(a123)
im looking at buying a pack or two of the Life packs..anyone have any guidelines on how to make the transition? voltage etc.
most of my lipo packs are 11.1V 2200mAh,11.1V 5000mAh and 14.8V 5000mAh....any help would be great

Don't do it . They are heavy,low power density and not available in nearly as many shapes or sizes as LiPolys.
If you insist then perhaps learn to Srearch, never mind no one does that .

If you are flying 3S, then like what Charles said, don't do it unless you are like me who do not like the risk of fire. If you are flying 6S and up, I think you can try A123. I have 9S2P A123 flying on my 11 lbs pattern ship. I have been using the same pack for 3 seasons and this will be my 4th season with the same pack. One or two cells did go bad but the A123 has been robust and reliable.
I am actually going back to the LiPo with my 3S ships because it is lighter than 4S A123 and typically provide more power. The LiPo from HobbyCity makes LiPo cheaper than A123.
