In a nutshell:
Both hsn and lsn are on the same side of the carb with the surpass II.
Black valve cover on the surpass II.
Surpass II recirculates the extra oil back into the engine (I think the surpass I just expels it like a saito.
There's no choke on the surpass II.
I have a surpass II 91. I've a friend with a magnum 91 (clone of the surpass I). The two engines are very much equivalent - same weight, power and sound - just the minor differences already mentioned. There's some more technical valve timing changes mentioned in the linked thread but that doesn't seem to make an appreciable difference in power.
