Esky King 2 vs. King 3

What are the main differences between these to heli's?

My local hobby shop has a king 2 with a brushless setup, 2.5Ghz DX6i, battery, charger, etc.(RTF) for ~$200. This seems like a decent deal, but are parts going to be hard to come by since the model is being fazed out? Are any parts from the King 3 interchangeable with the King 2? Mainly head and rotor parts, blades, etc.

Thanks.

Stock K2 comes with brush motor.

RTF K3 has brushless motor, HH gyro, swash center is metal, wider boom and a higher tail gear ratio.

so, you are getting a DX6i with that heli? A DX6i and RX runs ~$150, so a HB King II with brushless motor/ESC/SERVOS/GYRO is worth $50. See if the 43T belt upgrade has been perfromed, if not at $20 for that. It's real marginal if it is a great deal, but it is alright....if it comes with a DX6i and AR6100 RX.

I believe much of the head is compatible, not sure about main gear and such, belt drive is a bit different.

Also, the King II is not a real great trainer, it does fly nice with all the mods, but it is not really a great trainer.

Thanks for the input guys. Just for clarification ewoodcox, this is new from the hobby store, not sure if the 43T belt upgrade applies to this heli(I assume that upgrade is aftermarket).

I'm still debating on whether or not to get it. My 4in1 went out on my HB CP2, and have to decide if I want to spend the money on that, or save it for another heli.

I'll throw my 2 cents in and say skip he King. Its a "OK" heli but with the low prices of all the 450 clones in the market. You'll be much better off to take that route IMO. I've had the King2 and the CP2............... A cloned 450 is better then both in quality and performance. On top of that the parts are just about every where that sells heli's.
