4s LIPO and GEAR for TC4

Can you guys recommend a 4s LIPO 3300mah to 4000mah for my car, I'm tired waiting for TURNIGY.

My price range is at $40 to $80, it's not unlimited but I use to buy top of the line brand LIPO, but lipo has been around for a while others brand should have caught up with technology. There should be Lipo like Turnigy that are cheap but good.

I want to try NEU ENERGY,Enerland or other LIPO that are available here in USCON.

my set up is as follows:
TC4
Mamba PRO
NEU 1509 3600kV

I'm also looking for Gears
32 or 48 pitch
Harden Steel Preferred

A while back when i first got into Lipo i ordered Venom as my first try with them. I use two 3s 4000's in my MMM e-maxx. They have had so-so ratings from folks, but mine have performed flawlessly for a year now. Fully charge every time and provide excellent power............i for one would give them high marks. $64.99 for 4s.

Turnigy has some in stock right now:

I'd just buy 2 Turnigy's then.

There is apparently the odd fault cell that gets through, but me and all me RC mates be it planes helicopters or cars are all using Turnigy's.
Between us we're running around 50 batteries of various different sizes and cell layout's.
Not one of us have had a problem yet.

Sounds like your doing speed runs and have a custom chassis, any pics?

Cheers
Mark

Hi cbr6fs

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

Yes I'm going for a speed run, it's taking more time than I anticipated but I'm sure it's worth the effort. I still got some work to do. a few more Item on my list.

I have been wanting to take pics but I have not got around to doing it.

Regards
John

Welcome to the speed addiction. I just sold my TC3 with Mamba Max Pro, Medusa 3300Kv, Turnigy 5s 5000mah. I wish I hadnt, but I really needed the cash and several other cars wre ahead of it on the "keep" list.

The Blue Lipos from hobbypartz have been getting a few good reviews. They look very similar to Turnigys if you ask me. Plus they ship out of Cali.

I get large 48P pinions from AMainhobbies.com
I ran a 47T pinion and 60T spur

Oh and if you have traction, I hope you have the updated driveshaft. The TC3 comes with the carbon fiber shaft, it was bending pretty bad with my MM7700. So when I stepped up the power I went with the original TC4 aluminum shaft, it was a pretzel before I got out of my apartments stairwell. I finally got the newer, thicker driveshaft and never had a problem.

Thanks for the info,

I will check the site for the pinion and 60T spur.
I just purchase a Flightpower Eonx 30C, not a bad deal so I jump on it.
the only thing is it's 4s if it does work great if not will have to get 2s2p

Regards
John

I apologize, I didnt even realize you were using a 5mm shaft motor. Several companies make pinions that will fit, or it is pretty easy to drill the 3.17mm holes in your pinions to 5mm. Just take your time and line everythign up perfectly and you will be good.

It's OK, I can use them on my CC5700kV which I need gear anyway.
I might go to 32P but they are not as smooth as 48 and 64.

I install new spring this weekend, Rear have Hot Pink and Orange on the front.

Regards
John
