Now the shape of this one isn't as bad in the rear

it's the funky arch over the rear wheel of this one that I don't like:

it seems that if the rear wheel were moved back a few inches, it would look TONS better with the wheel fitting IN the arch like THIS:

Back to our regularly scheduled program...

Torrance.. and new date info for the SB-5?

in regards to the latest iteration of the TT FM-1 bikes, they're basically identical to the previous versions except for the Casey Stoner body/rider and now they come equipped with TT's 2.4ghz radio system. everything else are carried over which means all existing aftermarket parts will still be compatible with these bikes.
thanks for the info... is the radio pretty good for now??? I am looking at picking up an m11 soon, but was hoping that radio that's included would be ok for the time being.

thanks

it comes with the 'cougar' radio which is decent. it's only the basic version with the trim knobs instead of the LCD screen version but it works reliably and it has a good solid feeling 'chassis' unlike our old flimsy 'jaguar' radio. the trigger was modeled after the Sanwa M8 so the ergonomics are quite good for an RTR radio. the 2.4G system was developed by a German firm instead of some random Chinese imitation. the downside of this radio for bike applications however is the lack of a servo mixing function for an optional front brake.

is there a difference between nitro and electric like the old Desmo?

I see you don't have it listed on the site that there is an electric version and a nitro version....

The manuals for the electric and nitro both list the same part number for the bodies. Also, the new painted bodies have multiple dimples that mark mounting locations and don't have pre-drilled mounting holes and like they did in the past.
