Did some advanced calculations. Based on standard antenna preformance and the fact that the recievers use 1/4 wave antennas, there should be no chance of interference as long as you stay more 1.23 inches away from the Receiver antenna in the plane. That is less than 1 1/4 inches, so there should be no problems.

My unit just came in yesterday, and it works great. Packaging could have been better, but there was no damage to it and everything worked great. Binding is not obvious, but is very easy, so do not throw away the packing as the manual is printed on the back of the box. Mounts very easy to 2.4 Ghz transmitters (I use JR 9503 as in the picture and also a Spektrum DX7). Units preform flawlessly. When the unit beeps once, think about landing. If it gives 2 beeps 3 times you ARE dead stick (yup, I proved it, but no damage). See pics below, and I am currently uploading a youtube video. Will post it here soon.

I have seen it in here that people say they do not have time to look at the display. No problem. Just listen to the beeps. When it beeps, Land... Unless you want to practice dead stick landings

Just hold the TX higher, like you might do to block the sun.

Then while gliding at altitude simply glance at the bars for relative cell charge.

I just dont see a down side for this product.

There is no downside... Except a few extra grams of weight, and my planes even being small foamies never see it.

Here is the promised video.

Quanum telemetry system (2 min 32 sec)

Nice work Sparkie! I fly with my 2.4 JR 9303 with out any problems. Some told me I need to turn on transmitter first before I turn the unit on. But I have done everything and not a single problem. EXCEPT for one thing cell 4 and 5 reading are way off like 5 plus volts but cell 1, 2 and 3 are right on.

Interesting, I only have 2 & 3 cell lipos so far. Turning on the transmitter first is not really necessary, if you do it out of order, the most you will get is a NO SIGNAL message as shown in the video. Hit the bind button momentarily and it will come right back up. The thing of it is, if you turn on the Rcvr too soon, it will time out its search. If you just hit the bind button, it restarts the search.

I went to an Aero Tow last weekend in Eastern Washington.
I was showing off my unit when I discovered that I COULD NOT turn it off !!!

So I took apart the RC unit only to discover that the PCB mount Push buttin switch
has FANNEN OFF !!!
I have all the parts and WILL ATTEMPT to solder the tingy thing back in place.

Pix and more when I return.

I'm still 5 hrs away from home.
I went from the Aero Tow to Wenatche to fly at their SUPER DUPER field.
22 acres of PURe R/C paradise !

OK I have pix of the problem(S)

In pic #1 I show the initial problem.
Apparently you have to be VERY CAREFUL when pressing the buttons.
The Power on push button switch was found to be "dry soldered" and
barely attached to the PCB.

BTW the single lipo cell is on the other side and easily replaced.

I managed to re solder the loose switch to the PCB with a LOW WATT Weller soldering iron.

While attempting to reassemble the unit the BIND button J U S T FELL APART !
aaaaargh - what else can go wrong here ???

The #2 pic shows the switch components.
1 is the metal retainer
2 is the plastic slider
3 is the snaping disc which is what makes contact ( heart of the switch )
4 is the location of the switch "base" .

Note #1: the switch's metal outer retainer, when assembled, is sandwiched right next to the display LCD.
I'm presuming/hoping that the compression of the sandwiched parts will help hold the switch together.

Note #2: the switch BASE is metal and plastic molded together.
So HEAT will KILL this switch REAL QUICK !!! or sooner :-(

I managed to reassemble those parts and it sounded like it was working.

So I continued the assembly and as luch would have it ...

WAH LAH !!! It still works.

OR at least it appears to function, since the power comes on and it charges OK.

I'll give it an air trial this Saturday.

Wheew ! I thought it was going to be a GONNER twice.

Just remember to be very Light on the touch with those buttons.
