Is there somewhere one can go to see how the F3J In The Desert is going?

Thanks,

F3B winches vs hand tow

It was a great event and a fun way to knock off the winter rust! We should note that the J team was doing 2 man tows while everyone else used F3B winches. Also, the latter half of Thursday and all of Friday were downwind launches. Even the strongest towmen cannot match the line speed of a winch, and downwind launches are all about line speed.

Our J team did well considering they were not getting near the launch height of the guys using winches.

That is very true. We fly national F3J compatitions with F3B winch, and I perfectly agree with you. In short agressive starts 2 man tow might be more powerfull, but everything else... ....winch wins
